Default Difference between voltage mode and current mode Class D amps?

I have Googled but see nothing very informative so could someone either point me to a resource or take the time to briefly explain the difference (in newbie terms please) between current and voltage mode Class D amplifiers? My main interest is low frequency RF (136kHz) but I would imagine the differences are similar at audio frequencies? In particular I believe LPF topolgy differs for the two modes? Thanks.

Difference between voltage mode and current mode Class D amps?
Hello Chris Wilson, and JonSnell Electronic,

Please visit the thread "Class aP amplification" in the Pass Labs Forum. Go to posts #145 to #150. The schematics in the posts are like that of Figure 2 in the link above of post#2. I've assembled them and they work. Class aP presents to the power output stage precision rectified music pulses instead of the digital pulses in CMCD of Fig. 2

Best
Anton
