Hi guys. Im trying to repair an amplifier. It uses IRFS4229 mosfets. They are directly driven by the IRS20957s. I didn't have the fets in stock, so i tried IRFB4229. Now the unit has a DC output voltage of 5,5V.
Can this be due to the fact that I'm not using the proper mosfets?
What are the main differences between the IRFS4229 vs IRFB4229?

Is the amplifier oscillating? 5.5V is the typical offset that these circuits can show with open load and the amplifier not oscillating (not starting). What amplifier is it? Does the voltage momentarily fall to zero when applying a test load like a light bulb or a speaker?
