Yeah similar concept. Great way to do things for high quality, and simple DIY. Look at the NC-400's for example. Very popular because anyone can build them and get a high quality result with minimal tools and experience.IKEA would probably be interested in a distributor agreement...

Here's an example of a similar cabinet design. But that one used wooden dowels and glue. My new system uses steel rods and bolts with no glue. I have a cutout on the back of the woofer cabinet for the Hypex 2.400D plates.
Looks damn good!

Thanks! If I end up doing this I would stick to more traditional look. Like the Dynaudio Focus XD series, but with much better cabinets built with stacked baltic birch. First speaker would probably be a 2.5 way floorstander with dual 7" mid-woofers and dome tweeter. Similar to the Focus XD 30.

Pricewise, the Focus range exceeds my budget by far
The beauty of doing things this way is the cost would probably be 1/4 the cost of the Focus, and even better quality.

LOL this cracks me up, dynaudio has better build quality and quality control than pretty much everyone in the industry.
Regarding WAF, external wiring could be done beautifully:

Sorry the site is in German.

Yeah they build good speakers. But they are sold through a distributor/dealer network. On a $10000 retail speaker, Dynaudio probably gets $2500 of it. The Focus series are just standard 19mm MDF cabinets with veneer. Nowhere near as solid, and expensive to build as stacked baltic birch.

Looks like nice cable.
Found it in Englisch:

Somer Cables are really good quality, reliable and "road proof".

That's the perfect cable for an audio of IP plate amp. You got the AC and the Ethernet all in 1. I like it.
Me too.
Power with PowerCon, Ethernet with Ethercon...
Yes perfect. I think I'll order a spool of it. Then install wall plates behind the speakers with Ethercon/Powercon as well. Something like this:

I rather not run AC next to the ethernet.
