MOSFETs Only?

Hello, I'm new here. I'm not that smart when it comes to electrical theory. Any knowledge I have came from google and books.

Are class D amps limited to using MOSFETs for the power stage or are BJTs acceptable too?

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around MOSFETs. So, additionally, if you could point me in the direction of a newb friendly tutorial on MOSFETs I'd appreciate that too.

I think I found my answer.

PWM Class D Basic Operation

First paragraph. MOSFETs have the advantage of low saturation voltage and so are preferred. However, BJTs can be used.

MOSFETs have a lower saturation voltage and are therefore preferred. However, BJTs can also be used.

yeah, sure, you can BJTs too but are not as efficient and the biasing is a bit tricky as they require special techniques for "clean" high frequency switching. have fun experimenting
