UCD 25 watts to 1200 watts using 2 mosfets

Hello,

Any body can help my problem on my irs 900D,

offset flicker from 1mV to 500mV periodic on idle,
this problem caused over bias before, and IC IR2110 sort (get over heat),
i'm already change that IC but offset not stable,

please get me some clue for solved my problem,

thanks,

Hello,

Any body can help my problem

UCD Style IR2110 based Detex and Manojtm design

1. the amplifier heatsink will get hotter and hotter even when it's standby

with Rail +/- 130 V

using Mosfet IXYS - IXFH 44n50P

look picture

2. When running with Rail +/- 85 V amplifier no have problem
even with full output power

using Mosfet IXYS - IXFH 44n50P

Is it possibile,..Im using wrong mosfet ?

Any idea to fix problem ?

Maybe you should select faster mosfet or use ultra fast antiparallel diode mosfet module, like IXKF40N60SCD1. of curse better way is using seperated circuit to realize autiparallel diode mosfet (like xls1000 circuit) or using RC absorber circuit.

Possible reasons:
- Bias supply loss
- Cross conduction
- Power loss during slow turn off
- Bad oscillation freq or irregular switching
- Saturating coil

To easily investigate the problem:
- first you should measure PSU idle currents (both rails, without load). If -Ivdd is much higher than +Ivdd, then bias supply is the main problem.

- You can try setting higher dead time. If it helps (significantly decrease idle current), then cross conduction is the problem. If not, then

- check temperature of output coil! If getting hot, it may be saturated (not surely). To make it sure, check output signal! It must be almost sinusoidal (aside from switching noise close to zero crossings.)

- send pictures of waveforms here...

What kind of core do you use in output coil? (Material, air gap...?) Is it getting hot?
