Toroids on Arjen's mk3

Guys, quick question:
Just received a ta2020 mkIII from Arjen, just 2 weeks after placing the order. Everything looks pretty solid and complete.

Just would like to know whether the 4 toroids on the board should touch, or stand loose, or that it doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter.

Have you figured out what the blue multi-turn pots near the input caps do? I have a feeling it could be DC offset adjustment, but I think it may be gain control also, as this amp seems to have less gain compared to my other TA2020 amps...

I read the e-bay listing again and it's mentioned there also. I've already got very little DC offset so I'm going to leave it alone for now, I'm too busy listening to it!

By the way, does it matter if I reverse the DC input? (+ to - or vice versa)?
Just hooking everything up, and want to make sure it is correct. And yes, I am a newbie, in case you still wondered...
