Troubleshooting TI Class D EVM amp?

Hi everybody!

I've built a small amp based on the "Texas Instruments Evaluation board - TPA3008D2EVM" which is a 10-W Stereo Class D-Amplifier.

I'm having problems with static noice (as i think its called, correct my non native English I'm mistaken), as soon as i connect a cable to the input terminals. I don't think its the cable (which is of low quality though) but works fine with other amps ...

The amp looks like this;

The cable beeing used is a simple RCA - 3,5mm jack, like this one;

Im a little short on other input sources, but im gone try a preamp i have available, and see if that makes a difference ....

Any ideas, anyone?

Tried a preamp, and higher quality cables, which decreased the noice slightly, but no big difference ...

I hope someone can help me solve this silly little problem ...

Tried to connect a preamp and better cables, but the noice remains ... little better with good cables and no source connected, but still ... ..

Nice to see that TI noticed this thread.. They certainly was very helpful solving this problem, unfortunately the amp caught fire (yes literally) and is now toast...
