LM1875 Power supply

I stay in region (India) where AC supply is 230V but all toroidal transformer are 115V , I want to make a power supply.
Is this transformer look good ? I never heard of this brand.

Multicomp is used as an 'own brand label' of Farnell. They are generally very good parts and offer good value and will be made by leading manufacturers in the field.

That will work, but at 30 VA that one has enough power to supply only one LM1875, if you are building a stereo amp you will need one of those for each channel, or get a transformer with a higher VA rating.

"Most" mass-market transformers today are dual-primary, 115V/230V.

The listing *says* 230V.

The Data Sheet shows the primary windings. Jumper Gry to Vio. Feed 230VAC to Blu and Brn.

I am not much on all the technical stuff but I thought that 50VA- 12v would be to small for a LM1875.
When I built my Chip Amp version several years ago I followed the link below and used a 160VA-18V trans. It might be a bit of overkill but it has worked fine for years.

12 volt windings are going to give around -/+ 17 volts DC or 34 volts in total. That's maybe not such a bad thing for a starter project and it would allow a modest output of around 12 to 15 watts RMS into 8 ohm.

It really all depends what you want from the project.

I just want clean 10w of power at max , then not a issue .
Now one thing , anyone can recommend me a good diode bridge ?
I always combined four 1N4007 as a kid but that not a good rectifier for audio I believe but fine to drive leds on school fest .

Large bridge rectifiers (200 or 400V, 25A or 35A) are really cheap and very convenient to use as they can be bolted to the chassis.

The 1N4007 is a bit fragile and underrated current wise for this.

Last chip amp I built was a LA4440 from Sanyo in mono mode.
