Ok, just checked Bob's picture- the load is pink text node. Why is L marked on the right ?

That pink is the L, it is connected there through the fuse.
If there was no fuse, there would only be the black part. Pink is the black+fuse.

Check with your multimeter set to aubible.

A short from pin to pin will sound "beep"

An open from pin to pin will not sound.

Many IEC sockets and plugs have the L N E marked into the plastic.

In an old build i've used the led output connector with a switch led rated for 12V.
It works and the switch light is not too bright.

Congrats! The cool thing is that I've been listening for about 8 months now and they continue to please. I'm still on a board because I haven't wanted to take them out of service long enough to build and install in an enclosure.

OK, that's not the only reason, but they still sound so good.
