Talking Is this a gainclone?

Hi!

Can any1 tell me if this can be considered a gainclone?
It's a LM12.

Sorry about the pics...

I have a Mustek camera and the minimum focus distance is 60cm...

A LM12 is a power Op Amp it can be used in amplifiers,servos,etc...I have used them, they dont sound too bad for what they cost.

Cheers!! The DIRTŪ

Don't see why not. Hell, it looks like my amp! Well, without the chassis.

I don't even have that. I have to settle for line drawings.

Mine is the same basic configuration done on a similar heatsink, with a wood chassis around it, a wooden back and a trim strip between the fins down the middle.

A little comment on the third picture:

- the transfo is a toroidal 2x25V 200VA
- the little pcb has 2 x 22.000uF/63V caps and a 35Amp bridge

All the components are soldered directily in the LM12 and the coil have a resistor inside.

Great, isn't it?

Loud and very clear.

It also has deep bass.

Note that we are talking of a power OpAmp

yes, I do know that,

I'm considering bridging it into a 8ohm sub.

Are there any opamps that put out more than that (except for the ones by Apex). I like the sound from the OPA chips, are there any with more power than the OPA549?

Thanks!
