I need to charge my battery for my audio system .
My power supply only goes up to 13.8 volts .
Is there a way to make a charger using a 7815 regulator or does anyone have any ideas ?
Here is a pic of what the manufacturer recommends to charge the battery . The battery needs to be charged to atleast 15 volts
Just wondering if there was another way to make one since my truck will be sitting another week or so and don’t want the battery to sit out in the garage completely dead while it’s cold outside

15v will protect it but won't charge quickly (or likely completely).
The internal rectified voltage in most DC power supplies will be 20-24v. This can be confirmed by measuring at the output of the rectifiers in the supply. You can probably use a standard dimmer to limit the voltage to about 16v or whatever you want. This isn't for a permanent solution.
You can likely modify the regulated output to go well above 13.8v if you want to do that to a supply that you want to dedicate to charging this battery.
If the battery is dead, a standard charger will bring it up well above dead (depending on how you define dead).
