I ordered 2 MC14011B logic gate IC’S and for some reason they sent me the wrong ones .

Wondering if there is a way to check the old IC’S ?


And wondering if these can be easily damaged like the IR21844S IC’s

Hi . Almost every logic ic can be checked , need to understand how it should work , this is specified in datasheet , named truth table . Just supply 5v to ic and measure voltage at outputs ,and change input from zero to 5v , depending on logic. You wanna check 14011 ?

It’s a Stetsom EX10500EQ

Someone had the wrong outputs in the amp and all of them were defective along with the driver IC’S (IR2110S)


At one point in time it appears these logic gate ic’s were replaced and they just did a bad job at soldering them in so I removed the from the board and cleaned up the board and pads .

So was wondering since I removed them from the board and who knows how much heat was applied when they replaced them if they could be easily damaged and I should replace them

You can wait until you can get the right ICs or you can install the old ICs to see if signal passes through them.
