Alpine PDX1.1000 powers on, no audio (IR2010s HELP)

The desktop and the power supply are plugged into the same outlet.

The speaker wires read 0 ohms to the deck chassis. I cleaned and reconnected the ground supply wire to the deck from the power supply and now get 0 ohms from the speaker wires to the amp ground terminal. Can I just connect an RCA male cable to the speaker wires and just use it at low volume?

Do you read 0 ohms from the 12v supply ground terminal to the case of the computer.

I'm not sure what the statement about the speaker terminals is referring to. Why go to speaker level?

You should not read 0 ohms from the speaker wires of a head unit to ground.

Do not read 0 ohms, or any ohms, between the computer case and the power supply 12v ground terminal.

Read approximately 60 ohms between the computer case and the USB scope ground test terminal, and probe ground clip.

Does your 12v power supply have a 3-prong power plug?

No, it only has 2 prongs.

That's why the computer and supply aren't connected through the mains. It's no big deal but you will have to use the ground clip on the scope probe when using the scope.

With the scope probe grounded to the primary ground on the amp, do you get a good signal when checking the signal on the audio caps AND the rectifier (different vertical amp settings, of course)?

Use only one channel of the scope.

With the ground clip connected to the amp ground, I get good signal on the rectifier, but not the audio caps. The audio caps signal looks the same whether RCAs are plugged in or not, volume high or low.

Why are you using the ground loop isolator?

It is not a ground loop isolator. I am using a deck that does not have RCA outputs. I am using a speaker level to RCA level converter.

Does it have a ground (generally brown) wire?

No ground wire, just the four speaker wires in, and the two RCAs out.

Are the RCA connections completely isolated (infinite resistance) from the speaker wire side?

If so, I'd recommend connecting a jumper wire from the RCA shields of the converter to the case of the radio or ground terminal of the 12v power supply.

Replaced the deck with a Pioneer DEHP3100UB that has RCA outputs. The RCA shield of the cables coming from the deck, that now plugs into the amp, measures 0 ohms to the ground terminal of the amp.

As of now, can you get the scope to read good audio AND good rectifier (or 494 output, or anything in the power supply) signals?

E301 tested with black probe on amp ground terminal.
First pic is settings, second pic is with RCAs unplugged, third pic is with RCAs plugged in at 0 volume, and fourth pic is with volume at 40.

If the audio waveforms are ok, then I am able to read both Audio and Systemic Waveforms.

What frequency sinewave are you testing with? You need to use something between 50 and 100Hz.

When you post a scope-cap, use a timebase setting that will give you about 3-4 complete cycles of the waveform.
