First question at the risk of sounding stupid. Is the IRS2092s and AUIRS2092STR the same or interchangeable? looking at the datasheets the look the same to me but I am noob so I wanted to make sure. Mouser and digikey didn't have the IRS2092S. The crescendo I am working on has that on it.

Second question which will lead into the final question. How do y'all tend to figure out what drive IC's are used on boards that have had the tops ground off? I'm sure schematics would make it easy but Memphis told me to **** off. Maybe one day right to repair laws will help us.

Final question I have a Memphis PR1.500 and they sanded the top off the Drive IC. I attached photos of it. Anyone happen to what chip it is.

I know these are really noob questions I am still learning a lot about amps and this really interesting stuff to me.

Thank you in advance guys. Y'all are awesome.

Sometimes, it's from manufacturers that don't deface (although that's not 100% reliable because some are intentionally mismarked).

Sometimes because there are only a few ICs that could be used and only 1 has the correct pin configuration.

Sometimes it's from trial and error to see what works best, especially where op-amps are involved.

Sometimes it's from a manufacturer that produces a service manual or diagram for a similar amp with the correct IC listed.
