Ok I replaced the gate resistors and drivers for the outputs.
I removed the rectifiers and discharged the caps .
With the rectifiers removed will any damage occur to the outputs if I overlooked something or should they be fine ?
Just wondering this before I install the new outputs

I've used kapton tape and never had any problems with it. Only power up one half of the amp at a time.
Since it's blown repeatedly, I'd recommend that you do something different this time. At the very least, use only one positive ands one negative rectifier and a limiter (120v lamp) in series with them. Or, you could use a low voltage supply instead of full rail voltage.

Do you think the two resistors were the problem?
Do you have the entire amp together or just 1/2?
For a problem amp like this, it would play in my shop for a day or more, at varying levels, at varying temperatures, maybe at different PS voltages. Every time I'd pass it, I'd push/pull/twist transformers and inductors as well as push on the board.
For normal amps, 1-3 hours. It's generally closer to 3 because it gives me time to do other things that I need to do.
