Kicker Cxa1200.1 power issues

So a cxa1200.1 looks new but close inspection it appears to have had b+ touch ground. I read a short between b+ and ground. What would be the most likely cause in these amps? A shorted ps mosfets or the reverse polarity diode? If power is applied it draws alot of current when only b+ and ground are applied.

Remove the reverse polarity diode, and check to see if B+ and ground are still shorted. Very common issue. If the short goes away replacing the diode should be the fix.

it was the fix. This is always the first thing i pull on these amps when i read ashort like thepiwer supply is down. Someone likely hooked it up backwards....
