I doctored up your ZX1500.1 pic. This shows the same circuit.

Measure the DC voltage across all three caps that the yellow arrows point to.

Do you get the same result with the known good Class D board you mentioned in your Post #18?

Does the amp power up with no random drop outs with out a Class D board?

Post a good pic of the output half of the board with and w/o the Class D board.

It's the wrong model. I can't interchange them. They are different year 1000.1's the other one is older 4-07-05 and my board is 3-14-2006.

Yes Powers up without class d board fine. Been up for 3min no issues. Without d7, can u tell me the part number for that diode as I lost one. It fell somewhere in the floor

Okay, I forgot the preamp board obscures part the output section.

With out the preamp board take another picture of the section I cropped from your photo and post.

The problem appears to be in the output drive.

This is part of the protection circuit. Check the test points in the attached photo.

Ok so when I test for the 5v at the ic on pin 4 it causes a audible sound to emmit from the power terminal area, it reads -8.67vdc then shoots up to 5 and the relay clicks. When I probe pin 6 it's the -8.67vdc
I used the RCA sheild for ground.

Its swings the voltage to 5vdc, It also if I do that draws a around 3amps of current.no shorts in the transistors.

Not sure why this photo never went up for the forum. I connected it to r205 positive, and to the bottom ground and made a jumper for the topside. I'll clean this up later.

Check the resistance between the RCA shield and the Power Ground terminal. You should see near zero ohms. If this is not the case check R70-0 Ω resistor. It's also possible there is a blown trace or an open via connecting the top and bottom side of board.

It was open. So it read in the mega ohms range. I replaced the resistor, still no audio. If I test pin 4 now it trips the relay. D7 is still removed from the Amplifier. It only .2vdc on pin 4 and on pin 6, 3.45v

Check the transistors in the yellow boxes with an ohmmeter.

Because the voltages on Pin 4 and Pin 6 are low, it possible that there is a shorted transistor, or the IC has failed.

Be sure to check the DC voltages on the header socket for the Class D daughter board.

The +-15volts header socket is present. There is full rail voltage on Q101,Q111 transistors. +-86.1vdc. they test good.

Do you have 5 volts on the header socket with and without the Class D board?
