Remove the outputs and check them with the meter set to ohms.
Leave the outputs out and desolder all pads. Reinstall the rectifiers. Get the voltages on the 4080 if there are no problems (components overheating, excessive current draw...).
So the new 4080 is bad now and with a new one and the rectifiers installed there is something pulling down the power supply. The power supply starts up draws .89amps then up to 1.12amps after the rectifiers and 4080 is installed .28 amps. And the sound from the front torrid I'd back.
I don't see a problem, other than the regulator in your power supply may be a bit off. If it was pulling the supply down to 5 or 10v and the current increased, then, there may be a problem.
Ok perry so just use different outputs this time around. My concern is why the new 4080 failed after I installed it. The output transistors? But all of them tested good. Open between gate and source?
