I had misread your question about it reaching expected output level? I didn't realize you were referring to the sound output... I thought you were referring to it reaching -15v.

So, without the muting transistors, does the amp work perfectly?

With the muting transistors in (after replacing parts), do the muting transistors reduce the output?

Yes, without the muting transistors the amp works perfectly.

With the new transistors in it does not. The new transistors do reduce the output.

Remove the cap that you replaced near the transformer. Does anything change?

Did you pull one leg of the 221k resistor to check it?

Nothing changed with the cap removed.
I pulled on leg on the 221k resistor and it reads 225k.

What's the positive and negative rail voltage in the amp?

Positive and negative regulated voltage on the op-amps?

Now you got me. I don't know what "rail voltage" is or how exactly to test it.

Don't know how(where on the amp) to test the positive and negative voltage on the op-amps either...???

Has this blown resistor been dealt with already?

Okay Perry, I'm doing my best to get up to speed with you(doing my homework).
As to the positive and negative rail voltage - Are these the dual rectifiers in this amp?(see pic). I know how measure positive voltage on them but how do I measure negative voltage?

As to the Positive and negative regulated voltage on the op-amps - I was able to locate one of the caps that supplies power to one of the op-amps. The others I'm unable to follow the traces to figure it out. Will you please point them out for me in the pic? In testing the positive and negative voltage of those caps, I know the square pad is positive and the round negative. To test the negative voltage, I'm I correct in doing so by moving my positive test lead to the negative side?

Also, before I preform the above tests - should I reconnect the components you had me remove in the previous tests(muting transistors and cap) or leave them out?
