2005 Rockford punch p600.1bd

Stuck in protection. Lifted d9, still brightly lit thermal and short light. No shorted outputs or power supply fets. Lifted d18 as well next. Still won't power up. Lifted both u4-u5 leg 2 without diodes. Nothing. Here is what voltage I have at u5: (remote&ground).

I can not get drive signals at the ps mosfets. I tried everything u taught me before with like amplifiers. I submitted the request for the schematics.

See if this diagram is close.

It looks like you may have seen the thread but we had one of these where one of the LM339s were defective and since they were connected in parallel, it was somewhat difficult to find.

Post the voltages on the 3526.

I had just got the scheme for you as well perry. Here is what I have: I also checked both 339's and found an open resistor on pin 7 of u4 a "1502".

Did the resistor get the amp working?

No it did not. Can't seem to get it to power up.

Power supply mosfets have 12v on the source legs but still no drive. I did get the thermal and protection lights to go out but no power on the board.

12v can't be on the source leg unless you have no ground.

The SD pin on the 3526 is being pulled down, keeping the supply from operating.

Ok. So I switched the 393 out perry the light is off yet still no power.

Ok I see pin 8 is the shut down pin. I find what is pulling it down. Thanks perry.

Desoldering the shutdown pin should allow the IC to produce output so you can check to see if there is an actual fault that's tripping the protection. Be careful when powerng up in case there is a serious problem.

Still no power perry. It does draw .3 amps now like it is in a remote state.

What is the DC voltage on the SD terminal?

On the pad for the SD terminal?

You say 'no power' but what does that mean? Is the IC now producing drive pulses?

1.268vdc on the pad perry. And no drive pulse at the fets or the ic. If you hook up b+ it only draws .03amps like only remote and ground.

Connect a wire jumper between the SD pin and pin 16. Does the amp power up?

If so. Replace the IC. Leave the SD pin up and confirm that the voltage is near 5v. It may have other problems as well if it still won't power up with the SD pin of the new IC soldered down.
