You can probably sub IRF540 and IRF9540. The originals are still available.
MTP3055A are N channel
MTP12P05 are P channel
IRF540 are N channel
IRF9540 are P channel
If you want to use originals use octopart to locate all distributors that carry them. Do not use the "N" version of these transistors.

This is what I found at ELECTRONIC SURPLUS. Motorola - MTP12P05 & Motorola - MTP3055EL The MTP12P05 is the same but they only had MTP3055EL instead MTP3055A will the MTP3055EL work in it place?
