rubicon 2500 watt amp cutting off and on

I was driving around the other day and all of the sudden my bass knob light starts flashing and you can hear the subs thumping as it flashes .Then eventualy the radio and amp goes off so I check fuses under the hood and the fuse was blown.So I replaced it and now the bass knob light is flashing again.Its a soundstream rubicon 2500 watt amp. I have a 2009 Pontiac vibe. Any ideas guys?Im thinking amp related.Ive checked everything else. Checked for bad batteries and all wiring for bad grounds or bare wires.I even tried hooking a wire straight from battery to remote hookup on the amp and still same results.Whole system is 2 awg wiring with mechman 240 amp alternator.Been doing systems for about 20 years but have no experience in amp repairs which I think something may went bad inside amp any suggestions.I can do the repairs just need some guidness into this amp

went ahead and opened amp up and found four bad mosfets in it

If you need more help with the repair, you need to include the circuit board designation for every component you refer to.

ok thanks.Im going to see if they will warranty it out first.Said 3 year warranty from a company on ebay so well see how that goes.Amp is on maybe 5 to 6 months old

If you broke any tamper-evident labels, they probably won't warranty it. You may want to check on that before shipping it to them. If they decide not to warranty due to broken labels, you'll be at their mercy for the return shipping costs if you want the amp returned.

would I be better off just to buy the mosfets and fix it myself? Ive taken the ends off it and painted them and put stickers on it to.

If they will repair or replace it, let them do that unless you're interested in learning to do this type of work (which may require that you purchase additional tools and equipment).

Im pretty good with electronic stuff but could use some teaching to get me were I need to be. I already have some equipment but what all would I need? I might have a lot of it already.

This is day 3 and still nothing from guy I bought it from on ebay. I feel like I may be getting the run around. Looks like maybe I need to start learning how to fix my own stuff anyways.

Can I order higher temp mosfets to help maybe prevent that from happening again? Also im being told to go ahead and just replace them all while im in there instead of just the bad ones?

FETs aren't rated for temperature.

Try contacting him a few more times. These amps can be difficult to repair. The original IRFP264N FETs are in short supply and the substitutes sometimes require modifications to make them work properly.

Oh great just my luck lol. I get the amp with the hard to find mosfets. I will try.She just replied.Ill copy and paste what she said on here.
