rockford fosgate t400-4 humming noise

Hi need help fixing my Rockford Fosgate T400-4 amp has a humming noise coming out of all 4 CH. A friend told me to put a wire from the amps ground to the ground of the rca's and I did that and the humming stopped but I don't want to leave it like that I want to fix it right. THANKS!!

check for loose rca jacks..

Hi Thanks for answering me. I opened it up and the rca jacks are good. I think its a SMD resistor. But I dont know where to look or test first!

I'm a little confused are you telling me its a resistor? If so do you know what one? THANK YOU.
