The amp seems to work properly at 4 ohms as well. I tested the amp at low volume on my way to work this morning and had a pretty big scare.
As I was turning the amp up to do a final test before entering work I smelled a nasty smoke. I immediately turned the amp down but noticed that it was still playing normally. It took me two blocks to realize that a dump truck had pulled in front of me and the exhaust was smelling like a blown electrical part.
When I got to work the amp was still cold to the touch. The output seems the same as before I blew it. I will be keeping a close eye on the amp for the next couple of weeks.
