Put Yello One second on to try a something with a bit more bass. Doesn't sound shy on this and the extra attack speed is remaining.
This might be the middle road of their cartridges but it has ability. |

For the b&os: give them some running time (at least 40 record sides). Normally bass gets better after some "exercise" with such old stock. The B&Os are quite good and might even be more to your taste than the Shure. It might also help to add some weight to the headshell. e.g. blue tack or more professionally by a spacer, e.g. VPI Stainless Steel 3g Headshell Weight - Analogue Seduction

Added a blob to match the weight of the V15. Yes this has added to the bass. I will listen and tweak further before a verdict but so far I like what I am hearing.
Also kicking myself for selling all those mmc20cls off :-) |
