Modding Dual Casstte Deck for tape-less "pass through"

I have a gaggle of optimus sct-53 dual cassette decks, and since I dont have any tapes, was just curious to see how much trouble it would be to simply defeat /remove the tape head and use the deck as a "pass through" for synths, etc to "dirty up" the sound.. trying to do this for free as I am in a bit of an isolated locale atm, and have lots of time. doing it for fun mainly.

any ideas?? or alternatively, a way to permanetly engage whatever needs to be engaged to make the (two line outputs, two line inputs) audio pass through..
