I am looking for an overview of all models like the Jeff Rowland Cadence - go to
http://jeffrowlandgroup.com/Docs/CadenceManual.pdf
i. e. without unbalanced input sockets like RCA/cynch or BNC.
Who know such models so as the associated schematics - both as commercial products and diy projects.
On this forum I find only this:

Thank you very much for advices.

As I note by my own websearch, there are only RIAA head amps with both kind of input sockets - i. e. balanced and unbalanced. But even such models are rare and not easy to find.

Thank you for this advice.
I read there:
OK, I'll begin by turning off half my readers- the design will use an input transformer. This "impure" approach carries too many advantages to ignore, including nearly noise-free gain, galvanic isolation, and the opportunity to run the phono cartridge in a balanced mode without doubling the tube count. Running balanced inputs is an amazingly powerful technique to reject common-mode noise and is common studio practice for low-level mike signals.
Until now I always assumed, that such transformers was only helpful in cases, where a MC cartridge is in use (for step-up).
But obviously such transformers are otherwise also very helpful, especially for upgrade already exist tube RIAA head amps to get GND-free balanced inputs. Indeed - a very interesting approach.

Because there are a wide range of transformers on the marked, the main question is now for me follow:
What transformer is the best ??

any news?

If you are after a fully differential RIAA stage (just like the Jeff Rowland unit) then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the design by forum member polyphaze.

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analogue-source/289428-phobos-balanced-mc-phono-stage.html

Key advantages are:
1. Its high gain. No SUT required (nonetheless its still fully differential input.
2. Its differential all the way. The design quoted before by SY is a wonderful design, BUT it is singe ended. Yes it has a balanced input by virtue of its transformer, but everything down stream is single end.

I am getting the parts together to build this and will assemble in the next few weeks. So I haven't listened to it yet, but i am confident that this will be a winner.
