How do you listen to your Modern Mono records to get the best results?
i.e. a mono recording that has been cut on a stereo lathe

Do you use a mono stylus or stereo stylus with a Mono-Summer of some kind or just use a stereo setup all the way through?

I'm just really just trying to work out what is considered the prefered/best way to do it.

Well i recently bought PE/DUAL3044 for the $8 a bit of basket case needed a new catridge and stylus and new mounting head, plus a good regrease and setup.
Anyway i have rewired it as mono coming from a BSR SC5H and a ST14 stylus and i have to say it does sound good through my mono valve amp.
I play a lot of older lps from the late 1950s and early 1960s and a lot are mono so this setup seems to work for me.
I was more concerned about having a deck that was well built and stable, ive always liked Dual turntables so i thought for $8 it was worth my time.
just my thoughts hope it helps.
