DIY Amp/Speaker Switcher

So after reading DIY speaker switcher I decided to build one my self. Its working well and I'm using 12 pins toggle switcher, since almost all the tutorial use that.

But I came across this switcher which only use 6 pins toggle switcher, and it seem that they shorted the negative connection together. Does this design have downside? I want to build one like this but don't want to fry my amp/speaker.

Not all amplifiers have the (-) speaker terminal at ground potential. Using a switcher like the one above risks severe damage to any connected amplifier with bridged outputs.

If the connectors are truly isolated, this can work for multiple speakers on one amp (even stereo, since the L and R buses are separate.

Two amps to one speaker, high chance of "fighting". Even if not actually bridged outputs.
