I am looking to build a preamp to go along with building the Honey Badger. I want a solid state unit, single ended, that is at least equal to the performance of the HB amp. Tone controls not needed. I am hoping to find a fully documented build guide like we have for many amps but I am not having much success there. I see there are some PCBs available for the ASKA and maybe Salas designs but I do not know which one would best fit what I am looking for. I definitely want something with gain, I am sure the HB will not be the only amp I build and I have a variety of sources I want to use it with. I am a beginner at this having only built units with fully illustrated guides so far.
