Active crossover

Hello all. This may sound like a dumb question, so bear with me, I'm still learning. I would like to know if a three way speaker can be driven through a 3 way active crossover, without any passive crossover at each speaker, and using a dedicated amp directly driving each frequency range...tri-amping.
Any good advice or help will certainly be appreciated...thanks in advance.

Try a miniDSP and some small amps to get your feet wet. It can sound amazingly great for very little money. Even some $10 Class D or AB amps are very suitable for this purpose.

KLS67 I would put a capacitor in the tweeter path for DC and thump protection. Try something in the 10-20uF range. Use a motor capacitor as Rod Elliott suggests.
