AES article on the ultimate active crossover

hi said article appeared possibly 1986- 1989 in some AES journal. It was said to be the ultimate active crossover , without phase shift, and controllable group delays. It is not about Linkwitz-Riley and it is about analog. How can i find this article?

If there was only one paper in 3 decades, it probably wasn't the ultimate crossover.

also digital audio DSP is the only "without phase shift" possibility - and that has been considerably developed, published since then, open source SW and hardware even

the big question today is what should be done, what can be corrected in XO - the techniques for accomplishing just about anything that you can write equations for is pretty easy to find today

and today the evidence is for loudspeaker physical acoustic limits such as directivity being very important compared to just using DSP to fix up on-axis frequency or impulse response
