That 1512 fixed gain follow by a second stage

Hi

I build a portable stereo preamplifier with a that 1512 to avoid the complexity in setting the gain of the that 1512 i fixed it with with a resistor of 33 ohms and i put a LM4562 in the baxandall volume way to control the volume and add 20 db of gain . So is it a good idea ?

Any advice would be good .
