Hello I am using these the SEAS TJL3W kit designed by Troles.
I have already ordered the 30 drivers required for this design. Now I am about to order the crossover.

I would like to get the expert opinion of this forum on the following items by SOLEN.

Feedback on this, good/bad is greatly appreciated!

Personally I have not gone beyond Solen. The odd Black Gate in valve amp's but nothing too expensive. I try to give the Voodoo side a wide berth for sanity and wallet.
Pluto had to be built with ultra tight 1% tolerance components but that was for fairly obvious technical reasons (lacking advanced testing facilities) not ultra picky audiophile-nervosa.

OMG !!
I tought that the price was Per Piece , so I was thinking that you were another
one to blow money on copper or exotic (pricey ) caps .
Then I realized they were the summation of each kind ...
So it's ok ...altough I've been reading a report on a Forum about a guy who spent about 2000 $ in re-making a pair of crossovers for some Dynaudio speakers , using the best of the best , and he was reporting the nuances in hearing from Obbligato to Mundorf Supreme or something , on the mid and tweeters , not to mention the flat wire in inductors that would totally blow and make a new era in bass reproduction .
( I'm happy with my 0.5 $ cap on the tw  )
maybe a Mundorf , which is said to be the best , in series with tweeter and also mid .
In that descripion , Solen caps are more or less like electrolytics , in the usual comparison we make on the Forum .

the price is so high for these crossovers (around 2k) maybe its worth looking into an active system? What are some good brands that have this capability? I assume its done at the preamp level.

Active crossovers will cost you more and your speakers do not have ready made crossover designs for this. For active operation you need an amp for every drive unit, not just every speaker.

Per speaker/channel the Preamp output goes into the active equalized crossover which splits the treble and mid/bass or mid and bass output directly into each amp. The amp's are then connected directly to the drive units with no passive components in the signal path (other than a short run of cable). Two Amp's for a two way design, three amp's for a three way and so on.

While active can have serious benefits you should not consider going active with this system.

You need to learn this stuff for yourself. You will need to understand very basic circuit layout. Learn to identify cap's by name and sight. Pay close attention to existing crossover layouts. For instance observe how inductors are positioned relative to one another on Troels website.
The other route is to simply order it all from the designer.

I do appreciate the input. I am trying to learn, I am reading alot through books and online forums.

I received a quote for almost 9 grand that kind of scared me away. This is about 3 times what I paid for the drivers themselves!!!

So before I buy I am researching what is the difference between solen caps, sonicap G1, and ClarityCaps. The caps seem to make all the difference in the sound in xover design.

Also can I ask why you advise to not go active in this situation. It seems to me with prices of crossovers like they are, it may be a viable option. It would give me the ability to change the crossover points until I find my personal taste. Also an eq would allow me to flatten the sound. It seems alot more expensive so it may be something that i slowly build.

I guess you must be joking? a wind up?
If not.
Read post 8.

Designing capable good sounding dependable active crossovers is not trivial.

Do you have the facilities and know how to measure the performance of the drive units and design an active crossover?
Can you afford multiple amp channels per speaker?

If you want to save money don't look at high cost components. as you are building yourself you can always upgrade. For instance using the more pricey exotic brands for the front three channels.
