Hi,
When replacing a few caps in my Onkyo A-809 I realised that a leaking cap has destroyed a Zener diode, so I'm looking for a replacement for a MTZ5.6B zener diode. I know basically nothing about zener diodes so would really appreciate some guidance. I'm assuming the voltage should be 5.6v, but what does the 'B' in MTZ5.6B stand for?
Looking at Mouser and Digikey there seems to be quite a lot of different 5.6v zener diodes, but I have no idea what I'm looking for. Please help!
The zener is D902 on the diagram here

Many thanks

It is a standard 5.6volt 500mW zener. If all else fails a BZX79C5v6 will do unless SMT and then it may be a problem fitting it.

The B means 5% tolerance.
Be careful to get the right package/footprint part.

Cheers guys. Will go for Vishay BZX55C5V6. Should be fine right?
