I had a pair of spare tc9fd's, and some cheap terminal cups and port tubes laying in the closet so I decided to whip up a pair of the above linked design on recent afternoon.
Was able to apply a bsc with 1mH inductor and 5ohm resistor. I got those values from some thread that I can't seem to find atm.
I used a ~2" ID port tube with a length of ~2.75" iirc. There is a bit much bass, so I put a tiny bit of poly batting in the port and it sounds much better.
I'm curious if more/less inductance/resistance might help tame the bass a bit, or if I should just leave the stuffing in the port. As these are likely to end up on my bench for near field, and placed near a back wall, I am happy to keep the stuffing.
They sound really nice, from very near field (desktop) to relatively near field, ~1.5-2m.
I left the bsc mounted on the top of the box to make any mods nice and easy.

Nice work Pcgab! I don't think I have seen nicer boxes for a single pair of TC9's! You can also add more stuffing inside the length of the TL. Denser fill will attenuate bass. Most of the time people say they want more bass. Your vent is rather large in diameter and shorter than the 1.75in x 3in long I recommended. This will give you exaggerated bass, albeit at a higher frequency. So you can either make the port longer, or decrease its area with stuffing to flatten it. Changing values of BSC will only after the high frequency attenuation - not the low end. I suspect you have a lot of bass at 80Hz, making port longer or constructed will bring it to 55Hz.
I am intrigued by those.
I had tried the TC9 in the TABAQs and found the bass lacking, due to their high Qts, compared to the other TB drivers I had laying around.

Thank you! I had some spare ~12mm baltic birch on hand so it was a quick, fun little build.
I may try a bit more stuffing, for the time being they sound quite nice with a tiny bit of stuffing in the port.
I was comparing these to my FF105WK Tl's (Woden Falcon) last night. I've always enjoyed the Falcon's a good bit, but in direct comparison they are much too bright on axis. It's funny that I've not noticed the brightness with the FF105wk's until I compared them to the TC9FD.

The FF105WK's have a peak at 7kHz that may be sounding bright - also, do you have BSC on the Falcon's? That can change the sense of brightness a lot with a larger resistor value.
I don't have a bsc on the Falcons.
Any thoughts on what I should try, I've got some <1mH inductors around here, a pair of 1.5's, then some larger ones. And lots of resistors.
I bet I can find a bsc calculator online......

That should get me what I need. I'll try a few values. I really love the Falcons, taming them a bit would be pretty great.

Most 8ohm 3in to 4in full range drivers in a 8in or less width baffle like to use a 1mH and 5R to 10R BSC. Adjust R to taste but that will get you close.
You need a calculator to get rid of the 7k peak with a notch.
