WTB: 400W Bridged Amp

I need a 400W @ 8 ohm's mono amplifier to power a sub.
If anybody has anything that's cheaper then the Behringer A500, which I can get for around 180 new (shipped too)
All it really needs is a RCA input, and an output for the woofer (The kind that plugs into guitar-type speakers, forget what it's called) also frequency cut-offs would be nice.

Let me know, thanks.

buy a big pro amp off ebay, witha blown channel.

disconnect the blown channel so the protection doesn' t interfere, add the caps to the other working channel by cutting traces and using jumper wires. Then add the AC wiring for the broken channel to the working one, for a low inductance high current tranny app.

Likely to be under 180.

But..since this is DIYAudio....😛 🙄 😛....you are likely to fix the darned thing for $20-50, and end up bridging it anyway.

There is ALWAYS a vertitable plethora of blown channel pro amps on ebay. It's about as easy as breathing. The QSC MX series of power amps are the likely culprit, at this stage of used amp 'timing' for dead ones to be out there on the bay. They average 250 to 600 WPC.

After taking a quick look at your profile, the above scenario seems unlikely. oh well. Forge onward!
