I'm making some speaker cabinets and plan to use truck bed paint for portions of the cab (Front, top and back). The rest will be natural polyurethane over wood.
(side panels).
I have the cabinets masked and ready for primer for the truck bed coats.
My question is:
Do I have to totally remask the cabinet to apply the polyurethane? Or, can I just poly coat the whole cabinet over the truck bed paint?
I'm in a time bind for these speakers.
BTW
When I look on the web, I noticed that most truck bed paints are polyurethane based.
Your help is greatly appreciated!😀

If brushing the poly just don't brush the bed liner. If spraying hold a piece of cardboard over the bed liner to stop the spray. Cardboard about I foot or so long held at a right angle and pressed into the work surface. Move the cardboard as you move the spray gun. I would be afraid the poly won't adhere well to the bed liner.
