Would anybody have or know where could find some project plans to build myself a wireless stereo speaker transmitter? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

There are plans in various places for FM stereo transmitters, generally based on a single-chip FM transmitter. Sound quality is poor.
There are TONS of FM transmitter kits available, with a wide variety of quality and price range (e.g. http://www.northcountryradio.com). The cheaper ones are all again based on a single chip transmitter.
Jensen (http://www.jensenwireless.com) has two products that you can add your own amplifier to (JW901 and JW120). They run at 900 MHz and are probably as good as their wireless speakers (distortion rating is 2%).
US Robotics has one of these as well (http://www.usr.com/products/device/p-device-product.asp?type=specs&sku=USR6003).
If you're into RF design, it's probably not too difficult to design one yourself. I'm not, so am looking for alternatives.
A digital system would be nice, but looks fairly difficult in terms of bandwidth requirements.
