so i'm building a ne5532 headphone amp, and obviously there are gonna be internal wires wizzing around in the enclosure. Now my question is what gauge and type of wires should i use for those? keeping in mind that the wires are completely shielded off from the power power supply, as the whole amplifier is in a different compartment. i won't be buy any expensive gold or silver wire.

Either 20 or 22 gauge PVC insulation solid copper wire will be fine.
Just don't nick it when stripping the insulation.

I prefer 20 AWG stranded copper. Get a good pair of wire strippers and adjust them so they don't nick or cut the strands and you're in business.
I get the wire here: Electrical Wire, Welding Cable, Romex, Hook Up Wire - WesBell Electronics
<10 cents a foot @ 100 feet for UL-1007 (300 V) wire.
And you're right. No need to buy gold or silver wire. The electrons really don't seem to mind flowing in copper... 😉
