What power for Sonido SFR 200 in OB?

Hi. I have a pair of SFR-200 (regular magnet) I'd like to put on OB. The efficiency is 95 dB/1W/1m. Frequency cut @ 200Hz (electronic crossover). What power (tube amp SE) could do the job? 8W?, 15W? Thanks

The more powerful the amp the better the sound. A 400 watt amp sounds better than a 200 watt amp. A 200 watt amp sounds better than 100, etc.

Just kidding, of course. I think in this case the amount of power you require depends on the room size. Small room will work with less watts.

OB is my favorite - at the moment.

Yes of course the room...13' x 13' but openened on one side. A HK Citation II in triode mode makes the job with 91dB speakers.

it appears that the HK is 30 watts/channel.

if this is adequate and not too much for your 91 db speakers with your type of music and listening levels, try 15 watts or so with the Sonido .

Sonido , on OB, will need bass help, even if your baffle is wide... Friend's Sonido OB with 2 Alpha 15".
