I was comparing Dayton HF and Ho series 12 inches. I hear HF is meant for large enclosure and that in a small enclosure it can have the issue 'cone is prone to 'oil can popping' in high Q/smaller enclosures'
It turns out the in a 35 litre 1.255 cubic the HF still looks better than HO
What is this oil can popping?
Yellow is HF in 78 litres
Blue is HF in 35 litre, thats my car sub enclosure size
pink is HO

Where i found this oil can pop issue
Dayton RSS390HO vs HF most things equal.

I didn't know what the term meant so I did a little Google search and found this thread. Hope it helps.

Thanks Dooper. Still not sure why it would happen but I have more idea about this thing after reading ur link.
So i guess lesson is don't use Dayton HF in a small enclosure.
