What I do

Hi
I'm running a one-man company, making repairs for electric guitars and basses. I've been working with Celinder fine handmade bass guitars for more than 3 years, making, well, handmade bass guitars from scratch. Most of this of course was woodwork, but I got into some basic electronics too.
Now I just moved into new facilities in a crazy DIY cultural collective in Copenhagen called Bolsjefabrikken (bonbon-factory). Here I've started helping out as much as I can, with electronic repairs on basically anything from turntables and mixers to PA's and loudspeakers.
I love to work with a programable synthesizer called Pure Data or PD and I'm all excited about making DIY controllers for that.:smash:

If anyone is still reading I actually have a "greater purpose" for getting into all this DIY-geek-electronics.
The mere fact that the western world are getting rid of not imaginable amounts of electronics, that could be repaired, is outrageous. The fact that we live in a world so dependent on electronics, in the case of most people, without ANY idea of how it's working is scaring me. 😱
The thought of recycling electronics really turns me on - imagine turning a hair dryer and an old PC into a plant fertilizer...

So obviously I'm happy to find this forum!!!
PEACE Jonathan
