Just found this curiosity in a bric-à-brac shop. I could find nothing about it online, but I guess it’s an RF amp tube judging by the input/output connectors. Anyone know anything about this bad boy?
I suspect that is a radar transmit receive switch, intended to disconnect the sensitive receiver section from the antenna when the transmitter was sending out a multi-kilowatt pulse.
