Hmmm, the June '02 issue does not show linearity vs. level, indeed. I bet I saw that somewhere, somehow, but it seems I saw that somewhere else...

The R2904/7000 are tested by HifiCompass from 2 to 8 V (but this still just around 104 dB peak):

For 115 dB at 1 m, it needs to survive approx 250 W. Even if not fries instantly, it would produce serious compression IMO.

Scan Speak 7100 might be even better option than 7000. It measures reasonable well in WG148R. I attach its measurement as raw and in WG148R.
