hi,
i have one of these vintage amps and i am not sure of how to wire it correctly,
it has the speaker outputs which is straight forward, power inputs which is also straight forward but with the input cables for the speakers there is also a skinny red wire which i dont know where it is supposed to connect to?
can you help me on this please ?
your help would be most appreciated.

The input cables for the speakers? Huh?
The only skinny wire I can think of is the ground wire for the phono input.
A picture would help. 😉

No phono connection on this amp,is early 80's before phono was introduced. Ha speaker wires for input and outputs. But along with the input speaker wires there is a also a skinny red wire.
ad360 is a car audio amplifier ..... so you are posting in the wrong forum
then again i expect you to know that this is a 12 volt amplifier ....
then again i expect you to know that this is a 12 volt amplifier ....
if so then it should be like that
red is switched 12 volt from engine
yellow is permanent 12V
black is ground
paired green /green white left input
paired grey /grey white right input ...
also a picture will help

hi all,
thanks for the replys, just dug the amp out again and have attached a photo of the wiring.
this must be a very rare vintage amp as i cant find out any info about it online.
it was made in usa not japan like newer pioneer car audio.
any help as to where the skinny red wire coming out of the input side goes would be great.
thanks.

Red wire should be a turn on wire. Get a 1K resistor, and connect it with the red wire and other side to 12v, and amp should turn on. (going from old memory - it may need to be grounded, which is why recommend using a resistor for testing. - unit was designed to be turned on by head unit)
