Hello All,
Is there anyone out there who knows a US source of van den Hul CC-1.2 cartidge clips? The only sources I've found so far don't answer my emails and one dealer ripped me off with a set of rubbish Radio Shack clips.
Thank you in advance.
Ralf

I bought VDH cartridge clips at local VDH distributor. They are not direct gold plated but standard so called pin connector made for PCB interconnection in the far East probably. For the price of one single clip, you may bay first rate female D-Sub connector with soldering cups. You will get 15 gold plated clips.Good for 250 insertions.
Buy branded connector.
Buy branded connector.
Thank you rayma and kamis
Hi rayma,
I visited that website and I'll probably be ordering from them.
Hi kamis,
none of the cartridge clips I know of, except the van den Huls, include any kind of strain relief. So, for the time being, I'm going to insist on the van den huls.
Thank you all,
Ralf

VDH clips in fact are made for crimping , they have area for strain relief using crimping tools. But crimping for extremely low cartridge voltage level is not good idea, soldering is much more reliable. With soldered connection clip strain relief should be made with suitable heatshrink plastic.I use it with VDH clips. D-Sub clips are in fact more universal with various cartridge terminals sizes which are not standardized, more adaptable. With VDH and similar, you should change clips slightly with various cartridges which is very tedious.Hi rayma,
