V drum speaker considerations

Hi all, I have a number of speakers collected over time. 15" 10" x2 all 200w 4ohm. I also have a tweeter 8ohm. 12" 8ohm. I would like to put together a full range cabinet for the V drum kit. Just wondering how feasible this would be, good idea bad idea. It would be nice to be able to utilize the components I have on hand. Many thanks.

Yes, why not?
A 3 way enclosure, with a 15" for Bass, 2 x 10" or 1x12" for mids and you eill definitely have way more than "a tweeter" for highs.
Consider a driver + horn combination.

Buy passive crosovers and drive it withy a 20'0W amp or go active and use 200W - 200W - 50W or thereabouts.

you could get a lot of impact from a Karlson cabinet - but can't think of a way to use all those at once in one K-box. A little K12 with strong motor 12 and K-tube on top (could mount a diy K-tube inside the front chamber on the reflector panel - that would keep it out of the way)

a behringer nu3000dsp would be a nice option for dsp-crossover and enough power to drive the speakers; the mid-high crossover can be passive

i think 1 10 inch will be enough for mid and the cab can be made smaller

i made this : coax drummonitor

the greenboy fearful 15/6/1 is a nice example of a 3-way cab build : fEARful? enclosures for bass/drums/keys

it is important to well calculate the right volume an port dimensions for the 15 inch woofer; for maximum output you definitly want to use the backwave of the driver so you don't want a sealed enclosure

the 10 inch can be put in a small damped sealed enclosure
