Anyone tried using these transistors (MPSA56/06) in the A40 for the input stage transistors? Much as been said about its output transistors for which I'm using MJ11015/16 but little about the other transistors.
Thanks,

I am using MPSA42/92s in the amp circuit I have been working on, and have not noticed them causing any problems. You may not encounter any trouble with the MPSA06/56s either.
To cut the long story short I'm using a single MPSA06 as an emitter follower running at 5mA at the output of my cd player for the moment. The one thing that I discovered with this is that these transistors are very noisy.
The noisefloor with this single transistor in place of two op amp stages that were used previously is many times higher!! So if you use these transistors in your circuit and the noisefloor tends to be high you'll know where to look...
