Would like to upgrade the 10uF and 100uF caps on my original 1100s from 1991. Any suggestions, specifics on the caps, links to suppliers would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year!
Thanks,
Jim

Yes, lots of great info, but just not sure about specifics on voltage and tolerances. Would like to use Solen caps... Thank you!
Use capacitors with a minimum voltage rating of 50 volts. A higher voltage rating won't hurt, but size and/or cost may become a factor. You don't want to try stuffing soup-can sized caps in there. Tolerance is not particularly critical, 5-10% is fine. BTW, there is no advantage (and some disadvantage) to using audiophile caps in the high voltage multiplier. If they need replacing, use the same type as original.
Ok, excellent...thank you Andy, for the advice and clearing up the details.
